Example: Horizontal Merge

A new dataset will be created, containing the selected fields from both datasets listed next to each other. This dataset will adhere to specifications set during configuration. Merging only overlapping entries will only merge the rows where each datasets contains a value.

Example 1: Merge with alignment at row 1 and not only overlapping entries

Initial dataset 1:

Initial dataset 2:

Configuration:

Align rows: Dataset 1 = row 1, Dataset 2 = row 1

Merge only overlapping entries: Unchecked

Selected fields from first dataset: All

Selected fields from second dataset:  All

Resulting dataset:

Example 2: Merge with alignment >row 1 and only overlapping entries

Initial dataset 1:

Initial dataset 2:

Configuration:

Align rows: Dataset 1 = row 1, Dataset 2 = row 4

Merge only overlapping entries: Checked

Selected fields from first dataset: All

Selected fields from second dataset:  Integer2
