Example: Horizontal Merge
A new dataset will be created, containing the selected fields from both datasets listed next to each other. This dataset will adhere to specifications set during configuration. Merging only overlapping entries will only merge the rows where each datasets contains a value.
Example 1: Merge with alignment at row 1 and not only overlapping entries
Initial dataset 1:
Initial dataset 2:
Configuration:
Align rows: Dataset 1 = row 1, Dataset 2 = row 1
Merge only overlapping entries: Unchecked
Selected fields from first dataset: All
Selected fields from second dataset: All
Resulting dataset:
Example 2: Merge with alignment >row 1 and only overlapping entries
Initial dataset 1:
Initial dataset 2:
Configuration:
Align rows: Dataset 1 = row 1, Dataset 2 = row 4
Merge only overlapping entries: Checked
Selected fields from first dataset: All
Selected fields from second dataset: Integer2
Resulting dataset:
